COMMUNICATION FOR CHANGE!

Training on Impact Communication for NGOs facilitated by Mr. Diego Okenyodo (Isu Media) and Mr. Crispin Oduobuk (BW Binary) commenced on the 18th through the 21st of June 2019.

The training sessions commenced at 9:30 am and ended at 2:10 pm daily. It was a fully participatory and enlightening session as participants were schooled on many communication areas like audience segmentation, producing your own media, managing social media, etc. Participants were divided into teams for participatory sessions and several other activities were carried out to provide sensible examples and theories. Participants were schooled on the requirement to develop creative briefs and concept notes for each project/activity to give direction the way to go about executing the communication side of each project.

Communication is most times done to engender actions and for many NGOs, all they do is aimed toward engendering action. It’s so vital that you are always ready to communicate your projects in an impactful and articulate approach to make sure that your organization is presented well.

The importance of developing a communications work plan was conjointly addressed by the facilitators and a setup guide was shared with participants to help them have a sensible understanding of what it entails to develop a work plan.

The communications training ended with participants having a lot of improved information on impactful communication and are well equipped to produce a lot of visibility for his or her organizations. We look forward to having a lot of communications coaching to keep up with the world of communication which is continually evolving and dynamic and needs communication personnel to stay rising.

“I must say it was really a worthwhile course to attend and will recommend it to others. Thanks to you the facilitators for making it lively and fun.” – RUKAUIYATU AHMED

“I feel all fired up and ready to practice all I have learned. Thank you, Mr. Crispin and Mr. Diego, for creating value.” –NWAMAKA OBI

“Finding myself amidst of NGOs gurus who are always determined to change lives and status quo. I must be a changed person by now. Thanks to PWAN and the facilitators.”- NURADDEEN HAMZA
